Many members of the House of Lords, particularly those on the Opposition benches, prefer to be known by their fornames rather than their titles. Angela Smith, Jenny Chapman and Roy Kennedy are more formally known, respectively, as Baroness Smith (of Basildon), Baroness Chapman (of Darlington), and Lord or Baron Kennedy (of Southwark).
